My Ancestors were a very interesting bunch of people. The Sirsch or Siersch family is a long line beginning in the Eastern Territories of Germany, and it continues today in the USA.
Mostly the Sirsch family were farmers, but there were some weavers too. They mostly lived in a small farmers village
called Dohle, and some lived in Sternberg. These were located in what was to become the Sudetenland during WWII.
In 1881 Benedikt Sirsch and his wife Viktoria Alt Sirsch came to America and with them they brought their young children. They settled in St Louis Missouri and raised their children, including some new US citizens born here in St Louis.
Today, there are only two members of this family still living in America. One is Albert Rineholt Sirsch and his daughter Carolyn Sue Sirsch (me).
Take a look at the index or table of contents to view the detailed history of the Sirsch line, and as well as other ancestors in my line.
I have been researching for years and I hope that you like this site and that you find it interesting. I would be interested in hearing from you.
