| My name is Anastasia, and I am a Greek-American teenager. My love for the Lord is what keeps me going. Without him, I would have no peace in my heart. Here is a little info about me... In Psalm 37:4, the Lord tells us that if we delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. The Lord has given me many gifts, and instead of using them for my glory, I sacrifice them daily as a praise offering wholly consecrated to the will of the Lord. My passion is to dance for the Lord. I started cultivating this passion when I was only a small child and I continue to nourish this gift with God's Word. I dance when I want to thank the Lord, and I dance when I am confused with God's timing. I praise Him through dance when I am full of joy, and I travail through dance when my soul is downcast. I use the gifts that God has given me to bring Beauty to his throne and Glory to His name. God has also given me the gift of music. I love to sing praises and worship Him, but I also love to play musical instruments for the Joy of Jehova. I started playing the flute when I was in sixth grade and have continued to stay faithful in the study of music. The Lord has recently given me a new gift, He taught me to play the guitar, and He has given me beautiful compositions to sing as I play. He truly inspires me in my music and my dance. I also love to write poetry and songs. This gift has been a blessing in that I write poetry for people. I praise my Abba that I have something to encourage others with. If it is in the Lord's will, I plan to pursue a career in the field of theater arts/drama, and I pray that I will be able to utilize all the wonderful, beautiful gifts that God has given me in my ministry as a teacher of the arts. In my high school career alone, I have participated in various musicals/plays. 9th grade- "Peter Pan"- played "Nibs" 10th grade- "Fame"- played "Doris Schwartz" 11th grade- "Flowers for Algernon" - played "Alice Kinnian" I also have participated in The Witness, a musical about the birth, life, ministry, death, and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. That was a great blessing in my life... In school, I find time to participate in the school's marching band, concert band, Beta Club, French Club, P.R.I.D.E., Thespians, Competitive Speech Team, and student-led Bible Study. I hope you have an idea about who I am, but keep in mind... I die to myself daily, and it is Christ who is living in me! |
