Well, first of all, if you're from Herrin you probably know me (or have at least heard of me via Herrin's wonderful traditions of gossip and slander). I'm sure those of you who have heard any of those terrific rumors are just dying to know the truth so here it is...yes, I am a lesbian...

My real name is Allison Rose Vaughn. I'm a Sophomore at John A. Logan College where I'm working on an associate in arts emphasizing English. This year I made the Vice President's List, All American Scholar, Phi Theta Kappa, the National Dean's List, and I have a 4.6 GPA. I'm a fairly average person except that I'm really short (about 5'1"). I find myself rather boring and somewhat odd. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. I don't go to parties. I don't hang out on the parking lots on the weekends. I'm not in any clubs at school. The only things I did in HHS that involved staying after school were Girls Track and Cross Country. I was a manager for both teams. Lindsay (one of the runners) gave me the nickname "Manager Girl" because when I wasn't there for a CC meet, everything seemed to fall apart. Let's see...what else?... I don't really watch TV...just MTV and M2.

I go to almost every movie that comes out at the Marion theater and end up renting the ones that don't. It's family tradition for at least me and my mom to go to one movie a week (sometimes my little brother Beau goes too and we've seen as many as 3 movies in one day b4). Some of my favorite movies are Clerks, MallRats, Chasing Amy (you have to watch all 3 to get all the jokes) and you have to add Dogma to that list now, 10 Things I Hate About You, Small Soldiers, FoxFire, The Craft, Romeo and Juliet, Wild Things, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Scream 1, 2, & 3, Three to Tango, The Whole Nine Yards, Coyote Ugly, Remember the Titans...and the list goes on and on. In case you didn't notice, I'm a big Neve Campbell fan. When I'm not watching the new releases at the theater, I'm usually having an all night movie marathon with a bunch of my friends. We've had over a dozen people all piled into my room and at least 9 of them on the bed at once...it gets interesting. Our record so far is 9 movies in one night without crashing.

I listen to almost any kind of music (even some country). Some of my favorites are the Goo Goo Dolls, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies (thanks to Nancy), Blue Tonic World, the Bee Gees (thanks to my mom), and Savage Garden.

I've never met a cat I didn't like or a cat that didn't like me.
I LOVE cats! I own one (actually she belongs to Beau). Mine was a boy named Jinx (he unfortuately is no longer with us) and Beau's is a girl named Nala. Jinx thought that everyone in my family was a cat, so we treated him like he was a human. Once my brother tried to brush Jinx's teeth and he actually cooperated...scary huh?. Nala has hit her head one too many times and is a little looney, but we still love her.

My household consists of 3 males and 2 females. My dad (Steve-55), my mom (Carol-42), my brothers (Beau-14, Shane-22), and ME (19). Beau's a pain in the rear, but he can be cool sometimes. He has yet to find a video game that he can't beat and recently has become the household cheff (he makes a great apple coffee cake). Shane has been blind since birth and doesn't talk. He only interacts with our dad now, but he used to play games with me when I was little. I also have a half brother (Eric-31). He's married to one of my dad's former students (dad teaches at Marion Jr. High). Her name is Rebecca and she makes me feel tall 'cause she's only half an inch taller than me.

I got the name "Alpha Five" from the Greek letter Alpha (A) and the Roman numeral five (V). Together they make my initials. LIKES & DISLIKES:
Here's a few things that can either tick me off or brighten my day...maybe even turn me on :o)

1. My biggest pet-peeve in the world...when people let their shirt sleeves roll up. I don't know why, but it drives me insane.

2. I'm a sucker for blue eyes. Dark blue, light blue, blue-green...doesn't matter. If you have blue eyes, you'll have no problem getting my attention.

3. I can't stand it when people put each other down. Especially when they insist on using terms of sexuality. That's just ignorant and immature.

4. If you're ever in my car, you HAVE TO WEAR A SEATBELT!!! If I catch any of you Herrin people w/o your seatbelt on, you're gonna' catch hell from me!!

5. I don't know why, but I go for younger girls(not robbing the craddle kind of young). I have NO CLUE why, but I do. One of my friends and I were going through a list of all the girls I've ever liked and they're all at least four months younger and at least one grade behind me in school (with the exception of 2 girls from out of town who are only a few months older).

6. As you've probably noticed from my home page, I LOVE wolves. They're my all time favorite animal. I have over 40 pictures of wolves hanging on my bedroom walls and a few drawings that I did myself. Other than being beautiful and entertaining animals, they're easy and fun to draw.

7. One of my favorite things to do is draw. I used to draw nothing but wolves, but then I started drawing Garfield and Disney characters for my friends and actually sold a few copies at school. I also draw the little Japanamation characters from my brother's video games and strategy guides. One of my drawings from Zelda64 turned out to be a mural (the smaller of the two characters is as tall as me!).

8. I get evil when people interupt me. Yes, I mean EVIL!! If I know you really well and you still haven't figured out that it bothers me you'll end up getting kicked, punched, bitten, or scratched (just ask Rejeana). I don't recomend it!

9. If you're gonna' criticise me, do it in a constructive manner...or else! I can't stand being called on a mistake unless you can be really nice about it and not sound like you think you know everything.

10. If you've read anything under the category Vampires, you should know that I like vampires (DUH!!). Other than just writing about them, reading about them, and watching movies about them, I also like to bite back (depending on who bit me first, of course...I don't plan on biting some random stranger and getting rabies or something). Any-who, unlike most authors and screenplay writers, I let the vampires win.

11. I already said that I like cats, but I just thought I'd say it again. I LOVE cats!! And they love me. Other than the one my family owns, my favorite cat belongs to my great grandma. His name is Martin. He'll be 15 yrs old this summer (that's something like 105 in cat years!). He's all black except for a few white hairs that have sprung up over the years and he has extremely long teeth and claws(now he's so old he's starting to lose his teeth). He'd be the perfect witch's cat except that he's not really thin. He only lets me and my cousin Jacob hold him (once again, I've never met a cat that didn't like me...never).

12. Make me laugh (without tickling me) and you'll earn my respect. It's not easy to do (it's even harder to just make me smile). I like anyone who can make me smile or laugh without really trying hard. If I smile at you, feel special. :o)

TEARS & FEARS:

Tears:

I cry when other people cry. I always have and probably always will. I tend to feel other people's pain (even if I don't know them very well). I've even gotten other people's head aches before. It's really weird, but then again, I'm pretty weird.

I cry at good movies. Happy endings (Notting Hill, She's All That) and sad endings (Where the Red Fern Grows, Titanic).

I cry myself to sleep. Like I said before, I'm paranoid. Sometimes I'll just get a weird feeling that something isn't right and I won't be able to sleep. Every possibile bad thing that could happen runs through my head and I just start balling. Eventually I fall asleep around 3 a.m. and then I'm brain-dead for the next few days.

I cry at good music. Any type of music, if the singer has a good voice, I'm in tears (there's no stopping it). Lindsay J. from Herrin has one of those voices (especially when she sings anything by Jewel). Also Rebecca St. James, Casey of Chosen Few, Jason B. from Herrin and Grace P. from Herrin.

Fears:

I'm terrified of heights, climbing, and stairs...I fell backwards down 14 stairs when I was only 5 years old. My dad says it's a miricale that I didn't break my neck. He said I hit the stairs at least 3 time on the way down, but I didn't feel it at all. I just felt the carpet burn on my left knee. I'm pretty sure that's one of the reason's my back is so messed up, but it could have been my skating accident too. The lower 5 or 6 vertebrate in my spine are out of place and one of them is cracked. Occasionally, they try to slide back into place (BIG ouch!...we're talkin' can't move, can't breathe when they decide to slide). As far as I know, it will never heal...

I can't stand open areas behind me. I know that sounds weird, but big open spaces just make me paranoid. I always want to know what's behind me (I think it's partially because of my very sensative back). I actually like small spaces. I used to play and take naps in the closet under our stairs (it's only about 3 1/2 feet wide and it's cluttered with coats and sleeping bags).

I'm scared to death of water. I used to love swimming, but when I was in 5th grade I started having nightmares about my closest friends drowning in swimming pools (no clue why). The dreams kept coming back until my freshman year. Since they started, I can't stand to watch people swim (especially people I care about). Every time they go under water (even if it's shallow water and I can still see them) I can feel my heart in my throat. It makes me physically sick to watch people dive at the Herrin pool, but I find myself outside the fence at least once a week in the summer when I ride my bike to the park to watch my brother play baseball.

I'm afraid of losing people. I'm a big worrier. I'm paranoid that everyone I know and care about will end up getting hurt and I won't be able to do anything to help them. My constant bad dreams don't help this any at all. I'm always waking up in a sweat with tears streaming down my face and not remembering my dreams. When that happens, I'm paranoid for weeks after, wondering who was in the dream and what happened to them and if it will come true. I used to dream things that came true all the time, so I'm afraid that the bad ones will come true too.

Ummm...I guess that's all for now...If I think of anything else, I'll add it later. :o)
