Ken's Parents are just normal people... Mrs. Ichijouji just cares to see her Pride and Joy happy,but gets concerned and Mr. Ichijouji enjoys the fact that his Son became a famous boy Genius... If only they knew... When Ken ran away,they were really worried that they had lost him just like they had lost their older son Sam Ichijouji(see Osamu(sam) Ichijouji for more). Otherwise they felt really bad when Ken was in a coma... They finally figured out that maybe Ken had interests that they never knew about and never let him have,they also thought that that was what happened to Sam too...

Sam was the real genius of Ken's family and Ken's role model... Sam taught Ken everything he needed to know... One day a digivice came out of Sam's computer... Sam thought it was his and wouldn't let Ken touch it... Ken disobeyed anyway and when he came back Sam gave him a lecture and told Ken that he lost trust in him... Then tragedy struck, Sam died in a horrible accident(probably a car accident but we don't know for sure)... Ken was so crushed by the loss of his Family Genius,Role Model,The person he had looked up to for advice and guidence but also had full jealousy and envy about the attention Sam got...
