A husband, wife and their children were at a roadside park in Palmetto.
They saw "a star-like object" suddenly appear. "I watched the 'star-like'
object moving in a north to south direction at a steady speed and at what
appeared to be a very high altitude," the husband reported. "I got my wife's
attention and said to her, "Hey, look" there's a satellite." "As we watched
for a few seconds, it started to slow down. It was almost directly overhead-
so high that the Hartsfield air traffic was following their usual pattern
well below the object.""As the object slowed, it made movements that
resembled the movements of a waterbug (zigzagging from side to side). I
thought to myself my eyes must be blurry or something, so I fixed my gaze
on a nearby star and, sure enough, the object was indeed moving. " "When we
got to the car, I told my wife, "I gotta take another look." My wife did, as
well. There it was, still stationary, and looking like a star. Then my wife
and I said simultaneously, "There it goes again!" It was moving sharply back
in the same direction it came with that same 'waterbug' sliding movement.
It then stopped."

LaGrange Area
A daylight sighting of a dull black triangle UFO of small plane size
flying at 1500 to 2000 feet going northeast. No sound was heard and
the witness said it looked like a stealth fighter more than anything.
Checked with LaGrange Airport at around 2:15 PM and they showed no
gliders flying and no dark triangle aircraft operating in LaGrange area.
The remote possibility of small military delta shaped drone should be
considered. The possibility of a stealth fighter flying that low over
LaGrange and making no sound is remote. A misidentification by the
witness is possible, and no other witnesses have been found.

Brownwood
A strange weather UFO was observed just before a thunderstorm. A second witness
has been located who saw this red light. There are no power lines and it is over
an older suburban area. What the Brownwood witness saw was briefer and lighting
further away (100 yards) than what the Colquitte St. witness saw. The Brownwood
witness saw more of a streak of bright red color than anything else. The point
of this streaking was hard to determine except that he thinks it was a ball of
about five feet in diameter. His vantage point was only in between some trees
and so he only saw it cross between a 100 foot wide gap. The speed of the red
ball was slightly over a 100 mph. If the Brownwood witness, who saw his red
object at 12:01AM and two and a half miles almost straight west of the later
Colquitte Street witness account is accurate, then the UFO did a course
change and moved down and then upward. Many have also said that this storm came
out of nowhere; I mean nowhere! Unlike most fronts that sweep through from the
West, it was not on radar in Alabama 15 miles away. Both witnesses saw the
plasma and a large red glare after the main portion of the storm had passed.
The possibility of a genuine UFO using an intense storm for cover or fleeing a
storm has to be considered.

Two women saw a UFO shaped like a "cue ball rack," hovering near the ground. The
"balls" inside the "rack" were large, bright, non-blinking and white. The
ladies saw the triangle-shaped UFO with 1O to 25 bright white lights for "3
to 4 minutes." Walter states, "I drove to Turner Road, where the witnesses
first saw the UFO and stopped their car behind the Tall Pine Apartments to
get a better view. " The UFO was less than a mile away and had an apparent
size ranging from I to 2 inches long. On reaching the back of the apartments,
the UFO flew away at a high rate of speed, but slower than a jet." Since the
UFO flew north, Walter thought they might have seen the Wall Street Journal
plane as it took off from LaGrange's airport. This plane has some bright
lights and generally lands around 9 PM. On calling Journal distributor in
LaGrange, he said it was definitely not their plane as it always leaves by
10 PM. A manager at the LaGrange Galloway Airport said, "The plane has
standard FAA lights and he knew of nothing that flies out of the airport
that has numerous white non-blinking lights." The West Georgia Medical
Center indicated no helicopters had flown on the night of March 30. Both
witnesses remain adamant that the object was not an airplane or any other
conventional aircraft. A check with local police and sheriff was negative.

Teenagers were playing baseball north of LaGrange. The batter, nearly 17
years old, was facing to the northeast and saw a huge white disc-shaped
UFO fly by very fast. The UFO climbed at a steep 70 degree angle and
disappeared behind a large cloud at blinding speed. The egg or plate
shaped UFO was about a mile away and had an apparent size of three inches.
It shot across the sky to the north in a second or less. The other boys did
not see the UFO. I believe this is the same UFO that others in the LaGrange
area saw in July and what a LaGrange High School student saw in September.
This UFO can travel at several thousand miles per hour. The baseball player
indicated the giant UFO's size was over 600 feet or two football fields.
John states, "I now believe that a giant UFO is regularly penetrating
airspace over the Troup-Heard Corridor in Western Georgia. Before
darting away it creates a large flash, as it kicks into high speed. When
loitering it flies well below the 2500 feet radar ceiling so that the FAA in
Atlanta and Columbus can't "track" it. The UFO has an elliptical shape, so
when looking at it "on edge" it appears as a slender disc-shape. At other
times it appears the shape of an egg or plate. At night, it is luminous and
appears "energized." In daytime it appears white. There is also the distinct
possibility that the actual UFO is smaller and only has a large "halo" around
it when "energized." Most likely it is not picked up on radar due to the
computer elimination of high speed targets. The UFO picks areas to operate
where radar coverage and the population are sparse. It loiters only at night
and uses terrain such as ridges, valleys and hills for concealment purposes to
mask its profile from ground view.

Albany
Georgia MUFON Director, reports on June 4, 1998, that an object with triangular
light configuration was reported. The lights were red, white, and blue about
size of full moon, moving back and forth very swiftly in the north and east
of Albany last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. There are no other
details, at this time. An investigation will follow.

MUFON investigator states: "I received a report of a saucer shaped UFO hovering
over a clover field near a stock pond near Stovall. The UFO was seen by a passing
motorist. It was 400 yards from Wright Road. The witness stated, 'It was a round
thing that had lights going round and round.' The motorist only saw it
for a few seconds, before woods screened her view at 8:30 PM. Even though it
took less than a minute to turn the car around the UFO was gone. The motorist
then circled the area in her car trying to find the craft. It was just after
dusk so there was enough light to see there was no farm machinery or other
structures in the fields. This is the same exact spot where a daylight Valley
type UFO was seen by a man and his son in April of 1996.

A UFO described as looking like a huge flying dinner plate was reported ten miles
north of LaGrange. About an hour later, a landowner and several members of the
family saw a bright white light in the NNE. This large non-blinking light sat
low on the horizon for several minutes. Getting a pair of binoculars the woman
watched the bright stationary light, that was the size of Venus, for over a minute.
While watching with binoculars it suddenly "zipped" to the east.

It was also reported that a witness states that for several minutes he observed
a large stationary white light. Suddenly this light moved away rapidly to the
NE and "flared up." The witness asked John to go outside and observe the light,
but John was unable to detect it.

A cigar or disc-shaped UFO was reported at 10:30PM by two women, twelve miles
to the northwest. The Stoval witness recounted two UFO LaGrange incidents in
l963. A huge football field size UFO with flashing lights, hovered over the
railroad crossing at Greenville Street east of LaGrange. These latest
sightings show that UFOs were observed in the LaGrange area by unrelated
witnesses, on March 30&31 and April 1. Thanks to John Thompson.

A male witness living in Comer reports a UFO sighting. The witness was
interviewed two days after his sighting. He stated, he was at home when
his 15 year old brother came inside about and stated there was an unusual
light hovering on the distant horizon. The witness being an amateur
astronomer in conjunction with his physics major then checked sky charts
for bright celestial objects and found none. He continued outside with some
7X35 binoculars and located a fuzzy dull red line object in the southern horizon.
It was brighter or more focused in the middle, and fuzzy toward the edges. It
was horizontal and about as long as an aspirin is wide when held at arm's length.
He watched it for ten minutes. The UFO suddenly moved about 45 degrees to the
SE at an incredible speed, then hovered there for about a minute. The UFO
quickly returned to its initial southern position. He was unable to identify
the object and returned inside, leaving his brother to continue the observation.
The total sighting was for 30 minutes. Follow-up investigation into this matter
continues.

MARIETTA
Information was received on 29 April regarding a gigantic UFO that slowly
overflew Marietta Georgia in 1959, ten years before MUFON's existence. This
event was observed by hundreds of citizens and reported to the air traffic
controller at the adjacent Dobbins AFB and to the local newspapers. The
reporting witness is a retired long distance telephone operator and life long
Marietta area resident. She stated that she was driving south on Fairground
Street near downtown at about 10:30 PM. As she approached Lawrence Street she
indicated that it could not have been more than 300 to 400 feet in altitude
and was almost right over them and slightly to the front. She indicated that
she and her aunt looked right up at its bottom side as it passed. She
described it as being about the size of a football field, egg shaped, no
protuberances on its surface, and glowing a silver color about the same ~
intensity and shade as the full moon. The witness was raised a mile from
Dobbins Air Force Base and the Lockheed Georgia Company and this was nothing
like she had ever observed. The object passed directly overhead. She phoned
the Dobbins tower about 30 minutes later and was told that their phones were
"burning up" with citizens' reports of the craft. One of the newspapers ran
headlines about the UFO the next day. Thanks to Chief Sheets, GA State MUFON
Director.

Two witnesses state they saw a coned or bell-shaped object with
lights moving over a wide area near Cannonville, about 30 minutes.
They relocated the UFO on the south side. It was moving away at a
slow even speed, and they followed it in a generally westerly
direction...The object had moved from its original location at a
slow but steady speed. The sisters described the bell-shaped object has
having a large non-blinking light on top and two red lights on its
bottom. It was the size of a "small aircraft or large car." The light
hovered at tree top level, when it suddenly accelerated toward them
very fast. They said, "It moved faster than an airplane could move.
" The object traveled 2 1/2 miles to the west and returned.

In the third incident with witness, and somewhat further north of Cannonville,
she saw a rectangular shaped-UFO shining a bright beam. The box-like UFO,
had a forward-looking white beam and many non-blinking red lights. The
witness said, it was only a 100 yards away. The UFO was about the size of a
large transfer truck. She only saw this for about 3-5 seconds. It should be
noted that another UFO sighting took place on this same road that involved a
square-box like UFO shining a light in a cow pasture. That sighting occurred
in Sept. of 1995 and involved a couple and was indirectly verified by a farm
wife that lived nearby.

The witness is reporting an extremely close up event, indicating he awoke and
could not see the light from an outside street light. Upon further inspection,
he found that something was between the street light and his window, moving
slowly away. He was then able to observe non-blinking red and yellow lights,
and a bright blue-green florescent light. He identified it as coming from an
object that moved off about 100 yards, allowing him to determine a size and
shape. The object appeared to be dark gray and shaped like a loaf of "Colonial"
bread and considerably larger than a house. Yellow and red lights lined the
object, with the bright bluish-green light toward middle. The object ascended
at about a 20 degree angle and leveled off for 15-20 seconds. Then it suddenly
streaked off at a speed many times faster than a jet, leaving a light trail from
the blue-green light. Closest distance to witness was estimated at 70 feet. The
weather was mild with clear conditions, moon rising at 12:30. A check with 911
revealed no other sightings.

ATLANTA
The National UFO Reporting Center received a call on Friday
from a Marietta resident concerning UFOs. Later she called MUFON's State Director
Tom Sheets and said that on September 21, L998, she and her husband were driving
north on 92 Highway and observed a triangle with rounded edges. It
was a large dark triangular shaped object with steady green lights, and was
larger than a baseball held at arms length. It appeared to follow them for
five minutes until they got to their home in Hiram. at 10:00 PM. They examined
the sky more closely and observed numerous unusual lights, some low enough to
reveal a round shape. These lights were darting around and hovering. One in
particular seemed to spin on an axis displaying a configuration of green
lights on one side, and white on the other, almost strobe like in intensity.
They noticed a slight humming sound during their observances. At one point a
light she described as basketbail size appeared to fall straight down toward
the horizon. On the next two nights, similar displays were noticed and they
saw at least one aircraft that used a spot-light. The Paulding County
Sheriff's operator advised they had received no UFO reports. Other witnesses
are also reporting similar triangles and fire balls in the area.

AUGUSTA
In Augusta, GA, my friend and I were hitchhiking on a clear night. It was a
Friday night, in March of 1974. Clear sky. We noticed an object above us.
It seemed to be observing us. It moved away at a slow speed , then at a high
speed, and then gone. We did get a ride and the people that picked us up
stated that they had just seen a UFO. When we returned on Monday it was
reported in the Augusta paper that 30 people of varying backgrounds had
observed some sort of craft and all sightings were similar.

CHAMBERS COUNTY
Three witnesses from Chambers County Alabama have come forward. They reported
that on this date and time there was a loud boom heard throughout the area around
Troup County and into Eastern Alabama. There was
a concurrent interruption of satellite TV and some cable broadcasts, as well
as some power disruptions. Dogs went wild, howling and seeking cover, then
everything became completely quiet. About a minute after the boom, the three
witnesses went outside to look and listen and saw two huge 'V' shaped objects
fly directly over their home. The craft were moving completely silent at
about 30 mph at an estimated 250 to 300 feet altitude. They calculated the
size of craft to be about 160 feet wide. They saw 7 or 8 very bright, very
big, (like blue-white halogen) lights aligned along the surface. The
observation was about 5 minutes in duration, or until 5 jet fighters arrived
on the scene as if in pursuit. At that point, a witness stated that the two
'V' shaped craft split and went straight up, arching apart at an incredible
speed. They left a bright streak as they departed. The streak estimated
apparent size was about 3 feet long if held at arm's length. Local
authorities have vouched for the reliability of the primary witness in this
case. Furthermore, a spokesperson for the Troup County Georgia Sheriff's
Department has stated that they received a report from another witness of
seeing an unusual bright white light on nearby West Point Lake. This lake
seems to be 'center point' for anomalous events in the Troup area.

CAUS thanks Burk-Elder (rangeguide@bigfoot.com) for this report:
l'd like to offer my testimony, and I'd be willing to take polygraph tests
or whatever to establish my sincerity. l saw a triangle-shaped UPO just
above tree top level in Georgia in 1995 in mid-November with a carload of friends.
It appeared a little bigger than the house it was hovering behind. It was shinning
a blue-white beam onto the ground in the back where the cattle were. We stopped
the car, I got out and listened, ..no sound came from the UFO. Then the beam went
off, and it started moving towards the back of our car at about 5 mph, seeming
not to care much about our seeing it. Kelsey has not been the same since...pretty
shaken up. l could have hit it with a rock. We turned around and tried to follow
it. It descended behind another ridge about a mile off. We never saw it again.
it was arrowhead shaped and had alight in each corner but the beam came
from the center. It was sighted about 150 yards from the road behind the house.

John Thompson reports that on March 10, at around 9:30 PM local time, a
middle-aged horticulturist was driving southwest in Troup County on 1-85,
when a brilliant white ball passed in front of him. Flying extremely low and
level and to the Northwest, the non-blinking, solid white ball had an apparent
size of Venus. The white ball exhibited no sparkler effect or tail, as would be
expected if only a meteor was seen. The ball appeared to be flying at nearly
twice the speed of a small jet aircraft that, within 30 seconds, was seen
to be following it. The witness estimated that the UFO and the small jet were
flying at less than a 1000 feet altitude. The jet had a triangle
configuration of green and red lights, with at least one light blinking as is
required by the FAA. On arriving at the location where the white ball and
small jet crossed 1-85, they heard the familiar "whop-whop-whop" of a low-
flying helicopter pass directly overhead. The helicopter he said, based on
its noise, was chasing the plane and ball that had preceded it. Total viewing
time for the white ball to cross the horizon in front of the horticulturist
was about "5-6 seconds."
0n March 13, 1999, in the Troup-Heard Corridor, a witness had a bizarre set
of sightings. At 12:40 AM he was laying in bed when he saw a greenish-blue
light barely peeking through the closed blinds of his bedroom window. Getting
up, he opened the blinds far enough to see three greenish-blue rectangles
"sitting" in front of a ridge line only a half-a-mile away.
