What's the history of OPPROBRIUM from the beginning?
Metal and more Metal since February 1986, Death Metal that is!!!

For what reasons did the band part company a decade ago?
Actually we never did since we me and Moyses are brothers and formed the band, we just took a too long of a time off, it will never happen again. Our fans can rest assured.

What led to the band's decision to reform?
The fans.

You had to change the band's name due to the mainstream pop band having adopted it. How did you come to choose your new name?
Fate.

In what ways are the band similar and different from their previous incarnation?
We are still the same but with a difference, that’s us and more.

Talk about the new album Discerning Forces. What inspired the musicianship and lyrics? Are you confident a lot of people will be interested in it?
Yes indeed, our songs kick ass. And our fans needs it bad. The album is selling a lot. Anger is what inspired us the lyrics and music.

How has Nuclear Blast been treating you since you signed to them?
Pretty good.

Are you touring to support the new album? What bands have you played with so far? How have the audiences reacted to you? Where would you prefer to perform again?
Yes coming soon. None so far, but soon, we cant wait to play live. We will play Serpent Temptation, Beyond The Unknown and Discerning Forces material live; it will be a kick ass fucking show. We will leave our fans breathless, we will devastate!!!!!! We haven’t played live yet. Anywhere, any place, any time and with any band we are not afraid who we will play with.

In what ways is the metal underground similar and/or different than the first time you were playing together? What changes would you like to see made to improve the scene?
The industry is more established Death Metal on regular radio station and regular video rotations on MTV and going mainstream. And we will accomplish this some time soon. We will conquer!

Anything special in the works, such as a live video?
Is up to Nuclear Blast, all our fans needs to call or e-mail or fax blast to request a video of the band OPPROBRIUM live. United our fans will prevail.
