Pi!!!! This movie has amazing photography, soundtrack, actors, story....it's unbelievable!!!! Possibly the best movie I've ever seen. I think it got best film or best director at Sundance in 1998.

Recently I had the pleasure to see "An Ideal Husband", a movie from the play of my favorite author, Oscar Wilde. Brilliantly cast, with gorgeous language and costumes to match.

Ah, Elizabeth! Like An Ideal Husband, this movie features Cate Blanchet as a main character, and she shines as Queen Elizabeth the I. Everyone I know who has seen this agrees that there couldn't be a better remake of a classic.

Now to the less-serious: *giggle*..."Lolita", a remake of The Stanely Kubric classic, casts Jeremy Irons opposite Dominique Swain, who plays the child-lover of her stepfather. Tasteful but not sacraficing any of the drama.

Monty Python, the comedic prodigies of English humor, made "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" in the 70's, but it is still hysterically funny. Even better if you know the story of King Arthur, but you'll be falling on the floor in fits of laughter anyway.

And last of my favorite movies is the fantastic Empire Records. This emotional comedy realistically portrays struggling teens, all employees of Empire Records, and how they face the potential of having to sell out or save the store.
