Change Vehicle Color

At the vehicle select screen push the R button to change your vehicle's color. All the vehicles have two different colors.

All Tracks and All Vehicles

IGN64.com's underground spy network has uncovered a cool cheat on how to get all tracks and cars without having to do all the work. Please do this only after you've played the game for a while, as it kills the fun of discovery. In order to get this to work, you need two controllers plugged in. 1. Turn on the game and press Start on controller one until you see the screen that says "Push Start" (if you see "Grand Prix Mode," you're too far). 2. On controller 2, press Up on the D-Pad, C-Down, R, L, and Z all at the same time. Then release them. 3. Immediately press Start or the A-Button on Controller 1 to enter the Grand Prix mode. All tracks and cars should now be available (in all modes). If you can't get this trick to work (it took us a couple of tries, too), do step 2 a couple of times (press all the buttons a few times). Good luck.

Drive the N64 Controller

To get this cool hidden bonus vehicle, an N64 Controller, choose the Time Attack Mode. If you get a race time that ends in point zero six four seconds (.064), the Control Pad will become available. Tough.

Tip: Turbo Start
By: IGN64

Start In case you lost the manual (or your brother ate it): When at the starting line, press and hold A and B. When the announcer says "Go!" let go of B. You should blast off to a turbo start.

Tip: Turbo Boost
By: IGN64

One of the essential tricks to win tracks is the Turbo Boost. Hold down the A button during the race and drift hard left or hard right holding Z. Let go of both buttons and you will get a nice little boost. Practice the boost until you can do it perfectly -- now you should be able to win without a problem.
