Welcome to the 3rd and Long Fantasy Football League website! In 2000, a group of guys – childhood friends, college buddies and friends of friends - formed the Third and Long Fantasy Football League. Looking to vicariously relive their days of athletic glory through the likes of Priest Holmes, Randy Moss and Brett Favre, the TLFFL has entertained hours of obsessent trash-talking and created legendary rivalries. Counting the days before the start of the NFL season, spending inordinate amounts of time and money on sports magazines and web sites with questionable value, late-night internet surfing to get the updated injury reports and cursing their inaccuracies, drifting off at work, wondering if starting Doug Flutie was the right decision, praying that the Eagles attempt a long field goal on 2nd and 10 because David Akers is your only fantasy player left and you’re down by two. Like the millions of other fantasy geeks across the country, the game has become fanatical. More than just face-paint and big foam finger fanatical. It’s an obsession that engulfs you from September until December. And for what? For bragging rights. And the honor of wearing the coveted 3rd and Long Champions Blazer. A blazer so hideous, the Salvation Army wouldn’t even take it.
