Pokemon Silver and Gold are the next versions of GameBoy Pokemon coming to the U.S. The main difference between Red and Blue and Silver and Gold is that there be over 250 monsters, so that means at least 100 new pokemon! The monters will also have a gender so some pokemon will be male and some will be female. Of course, there will be new moves and abilities, it is rumored that there will be around 200 new moves to fight with.
The Graphics for Gold and Silver are going to be better then Red and Blue, but also close to the same. The Pokemon will be a much more detailed. The battle images will be improved but for the most part the graphics are pretty much the same.
Some of the new features in the game is that it will be alot more realistic. Pokemon will be diurnal and nocturnal, meaning you'd actually have to wait for them to wake up at a certain time of day for them to fight. You can check Pokemon's pre-evolved status! For example, you can see the Clefable's former data when it was Clefairy in Red or Blue Versions. And some Pokemon may evolve in Gold and Silver even if they were thought to have been at their final evolution or Red and Blue Versions.
Since the Pokémon can be nocturnal or diurnal, that means the game will have a clock, or timer, to keep track of the time. Also this game will be in color! Another new thing in the game is that, similar to riding a bike, you will have a skateboard to get around in.
There will be a new form of Pikachu in the game. He is a fat, Blue pikachu-looking creature, who will be called Mairu which means Marine Blue. His American name is Pikablu. Other expected new creatures include Houu, which is the 4th mystical bird, and buru, the creature that looks similar to a bulldog.
If you have ever seen the T.V. show you know that Brock wants to be a Pokemon Breeder. In gold and silver you can also breed pokemon! Some say that pokemon can be crossbred also.
The main problem? The older versions of Pokémon, Pokémon Red, and Blue will NOT be able to READ the data of the new monsters of Gold and Silver, but Pokémon Red, and Blue would be able to SEND their monster data to the new version. |
